Make certain this flood preventer is prepared to handle the one-two punch of melting snow and heavy spring rains. Test it by slowly pouring water into the pump silo to raise the float and activate the motor.  If the motor fails to kick in, check to see if the float is obstructed.  If it isn't, talk to a pro at Banas Lumber & Hardware.
